Well , the XM1 camera i owned has reluctantly been sold and i have invested in a new HV30 camera. This camera has HD capability and records some pretty outstanding footage.
As a first test i romaed around the grounds where i work and recorded the pond life (no,not the employees!)
I think i got some things wrong regarding the compression etc ... it can look better than this i am sure but as a first outing it's pretty cool. Can't wait to get a film done with my new toy!!

Hi Mate,
That camera is excellent, almost tepted to buy one myself for filming the family!!!
The main thing that stands out is the detail and esspecially the colours!!! I didn't know that ducks had two-tone feathers! you can see the green tint on the feathers - fantastic.
Hows the film sound schedule? I have been holding all weekends free on your request :)ha...
